Favagrossa is a leading company in the production of industrial brushes for car washes, rollers for washing cars and industrial vehicles, and the undisputed protagonist of innovation in the carwash sector. Founded in 1965, the company, based in Roncadello (CR), has been for over 50 years synonymous with quality, innovation and extreme attention to customer needs in the field of car wash with brushes. Favagrossa offers solutions able to satisfy any need and requirement, from brushes for car wash gantry to those for tunnels, from brushes for industrial washing (trucks, trams, trains) to those dedicated to special applications. It is no coincidence that all the major car wash manufacturers in the world choose the quality of Favagrossa brushes.

Favagrossa produces thousands of complete sets of brushes for car wash gantry and tunnels every year, selling its products in more than 70 countries around the world and boasting among its customers all the major car wash manufacturers. It is estimated that about 5,000,000 vehicles per day are washed with Favagrossa car wash brushes, which since 1996 is also ISO 9001 certified, the recognized international reference standard for the quality management of production processes.

OUTSET

In their own small garage,Favagrossa Edoardo and Savazzi Emiliastarted to produce industrial brushes to clean ceramic tiles and dust related packaging panels.

1st ESTABLISHMENT

Once built the first establishment, the company specialised in the production of industrial brushes and in the manufacturing of polystyrene packaging for the flourishing ceramic sector.

THE IDEA

Mrs Savazzi, leafing through an ACI magazine, was struck by the pictures of an automatic car wash. She had an epiphany and soon Favagrossa started producing car wash brushes.

CAR WASH BRUSHES

They started supplying Italian producers of car washes (CBS, Emanueland Automec) and established the first foreign relationships (Slant Brush System in the USA)

MOULDING AND EXTRUSION

The company grew, bought several machines and startedmanufacturing its own bristles and plastic belts, as essential to produce brushes.

CAR WASH BOOM

Car washes became a must in developed countries. The company increased its International relationships, first of all with France, Germany, England, the USA, and Japan.

NEW HEADQUARTER

New offices and a new production area. From bristles extrusion to plastic belt mould, from brush assembly to supporting pipes manufacturing: all was carried out by the company itself.

1st PATENT: SPIRAL SOLUTION

A new, captivating and involving design. “Spiral” and “Wave” shapes allowed the company to conquer the market and to launch a new trend, the colour one.

FRANCESCO FAVAGROSSA

He became the new president of the company and, with his family’s support, carried on the corporate philosophy of quality, innovation and utmost care for customers’ needs.

X BELT PATENT

The company introduced new brush supports called “X belt”. Thanks to their patented shape, they allowed quick brush assembly with just one fixing hole.

ALUMINIUM PIPES

New aluminium profiled pipes were introduced as alternative supports, replacing the old-fashioned galvanized iron pipes. Light, adaptable, reliable and top performing, the new profiled pipes quickly conquered the market.

CARLITE® BRUSHES

After years of experiment, Carlite® was introduced. The product radically revolutionised the worldwide car wash market. With unrivalled gentleness, this brush in foam material allows to caress varnishes, keeping their shininess and preserving their look. Its technical features, together with unmatched endurance, made Carlite® the best car wash brush in the world.

CONTOUR

Contour model brushes were introduced. They were designed to ensure a gradual touch on varnishes and greater washing smoothness.

FILOK

The company worked out FILOK, an innovative expanded bristle designed to make traditional brushes gentle, higher performing and more attractive.

ENLARGEMENT

Favagrossa expanded. A new storage warehouse was built and new production lines were created for a total amount of 15.000sqm covered area.

CARLITE® SP

Carlite® upgraded thanks to spiral shaped components. The brushes, due to their inclined flags, allowed to increase performances and to significantly reduce noise level.

CARLITE® EVOLUTION

Carlite® evolved. EVOLUTION was introduced. Thanks to its extra thin strands and to its new patented structure, the brush ensured greater reliability, quick assembly and unmatched endurance.

DRYTEX

Drytex was introduced, an innovative microfibre brush, with an incredibile absorbent power, designed to fully dry car bodies and to polish varnishes.

GRANWASHER

The First car wash brushes with multi layers material. Gentle foam covered with soft microfiber.

KAMM SYSTEMS

KAMM was introduced: a flexible, effective and top performing rings system. It was designed to fully wash vehicle sides in car wash tunnels.

LEONARDO FAVAGROSSA

Favagrossa Leonardo, the family 3rd generation, became the new manager of the research and development department, one of the most significant at Favagrossa.

F-ACE

Favagrossa introduced F-ACE, the innovative microfibre brush providing incredible washing performances. With no equals in the sector, the brush conquered the market thanks to its incredible washing power, extreme gentleness and unrivalled endurance.

FAVAFIL

The company worked out FAVAFIL, an innovative plastic fibre, designed to minimise plastic deposit, typical of traditional brushes. Incredible cleaning power, endurance and gentleness are the secrets of the new material.

TWISTER

TWISTER was introduced: the revolutionary, multi-inclination wheel washer disc. Its special structure makes Twister effective where other brushes cannot reach, avoiding arduous hand finishing touches.

SHAKE

The company worked out SHAKE system, the new swinging wash motion than ensure incredible washing performances even where the other brushes can't manage to go.

100% made in Italy

All Favagrossa car wash brushes, from CARLITE to traditional bristles, are produced exclusively in Italy in the two factories in Roncadello (CR). This ensures absolute quality and 100% made in Italy.

From A to Z

All production processes, from the extrusion of the yarn to the molding of plastic supports, from the cutting of the flags to the assembly of the brushes, are carried out by specialized personnel within the company, following strict quality protocols.

Certified quality

Since 1996 each production phase has been ISO 9001 certified (quality system certification) and, moreover, the Favagrossa brushes are certified by the VDA quality seal (Verband der Automobilindustrie, the association of the German automotive industry) which certifies the reliability of the products on car wash systems.
